LATVIAN PIANIST - AGNESE EGLINA

Sunday 5 May 15:00

This is Agnese Eglina’s 3rd visit to Brooklyn Theatre. This dynamic pianist is highly versatile and equally at home performing repertoire by the old masters and the new alike.

She is an accomplished opera repetiteur and coach at working at the Riga Opera House in Latvia, but extends her horizons with solo programmes with a difference.

She is back this time with an inventive compilation of works which she calls ART-i-SHOCK. In this programme she taunts her audience with traditional, esoteric and virtuoso fare in a most original fashion. Works ranging from Bach, through Gershwin, Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass and Piazolla are woven together to provide music lovers with a mesmerizing, evocative and exciting experience.
